What is The Diploma of Environmental Management ?
The Diploma of Environmental Management is a 4 semester within 2 year course . It has been designed to meet the needs of people who are working in or seeking work in the environmental management Industry.
The full time course aims to provide participants with comprehensive, advanced technical and management training. Completion of these courses will equip you to work as either a project manager or technician in vocations involving biology,wetland management, air and water quality, Australian flora and fauna, ecology, energy management, waste management, soil science, statistics, environmental issues, environmental auditing and systems and project management.
Graduates are actively sought by many environmental management businesses. For those who wish to further their studies at University there are credit transfer arrangements.
What does The Diploma of Environmental Management cover?
Certificate IV in environmental management Management includes: develop a crop regulation and plant nutrition program, supervise work routine and staff performance, analyse and interpret production data, monitor and manage soils/growing media, develop and implement sustainable land, design irrigation system maintenance and monitoring programs.
Diploma of Environmental Management includes:

- - Conduct an environmental audit
- - Conduct an investigative audit
- - Develop a waste management plan
- - Develop climate risk management strategie
- - Interpret and apply environmental legislation, policies and regulations

- Manage stormwater systems and Manage wetland systems
- - Participate in the development of an environmental management system
- - Perform advanced environmental calculations
- - Perform laboratory based ecological techniques
- - Report on sustainability issues and concepts
- - Review procedures to minimise environmental impact of process
- - Undertake environmental management activities
- - Use physical environmental chemistry concepts
- - Utilise environmental organic chemistry principles/concepts
Access to Resources
Students will have full access to all resources necessary to complete this Diploma. They will have use of a well equipped resource centre including ta computer suite plus access to cdroms, texbooks, film, video, audio visual and online materials.
Commencement Date
The Diploma of Environmental Management course commences in February.
Expressions of interest are also being taken for ongoing course enrolments.
Entry Requirements
Satisfactory completion of year 12 or overseas equivalent.
English proficiency demonstrated by IELTS 5.5.
